Cultivate your own gourmet experience with this You Garden Maris Piper Seed Potato Tubers Maincrop. Maris Piper is a highly versatile potato variety that is perfect for making delicious homemade chips. Its floury texture makes it an excellent choice for baking, roasting, mashing, and boiling. This maincrop potato grows quickly and is easy to maintain while also being resistant to common potato viruses. It is a very dependable variety that consistently produces oval tubers of uniform size, with clean, white skins and creamy-white flesh that is delicious. Unless you want an early crop, you don't need to chit the seed potatoes before planting. Simply store them in a cool, frost-free, and well-ventilated place before planting them in spring. Plant them from March to May in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny position or in large containers or grow bags. Your potatoes will be ready to harvest from August to November, about 17-20 weeks after planting. Once harvested, store them in a dark and dry place, preferably in an open tray or crate, and they will keep well through the winter. Supplied as a 2.5kg bag of seed potatoes (approximately 30-35 tubers) ready for chitting or for storing until planting out in the spring.
