Originally made by Saunders & Shepherd, this beautifully made woven bracelet has been hallmarked 9ct gold in London in 1974. Beautiful in tis simplicity, it has a concealed side catch, adding to the seamless appearance.
Saunders & Shepherd was founded in London in 1869 by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders Sr. and James Francis Hollings Shepherd. Renowned jewellers with vast experience of the craft, they are credited with being the inventors of the self-closing bracelet. In 1981, they were commissioned by Lady Diana Spencer to make a gold bracelet that she wore on her wedding day in July of that year.
