Montblanc Watch Heritage GMT. 119948. Drawing from the influence of the vintage Minerva watches from the 1940s and early ‘50s, the Montblanc Heritage watch collection was designed for those looking for a classic-looking timepiece with a serious vintage-inspired charm. The series is home to no shortage of complications including the classic chronograph, Monopusher chronograph, perpetual calendar, and now the coveted GMT complication. The Montblanc Heritage GMT is a must-have travel watch for the modern-day globe trotter featuring a statement blue coloured second time zone hand at the centre pointing to the matching blue 24 hour scale reaching the edge of the dial. To pair, a central seconds hand is also dressed in blue to contrast elegantly against the crisp silver-white dial. Like all the luxury watches in the Montblanc Heritage collection, the dial of this GMT timepiece is wonderfully detailed in two contrasting textures. At the very centre is traditional sunray brushed finishing which extends out to a surround of unique graining. On the grained ring sits a combination of applied Arabic numerals and dots as indexes, all housed beneath domed sapphire crystal glass treated with anti-reflective coating. The Montblanc Heritage GMT persists its elegant aesthetic with a 40 millimetre polished stainless steel case, curved lugs, a grey alligator leather strap and a knurled crown at 3 o’clock embossed with the Montblanc emblem in relief. Accommodated behind the screw down case back, which promises a water resistant rating of 50 metres, is the MB 24.05 automatic winding calibre. As well as being responsible for powering the 24-hour GMT complication, the Swiss made movement guarantees a 42 hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800vph.
