Description
The RHS flower mix for insects provides nectar and pollen for a long season. Known to attract a wide variety of pollinators and useful predatory insects, this special blend of flowers creates a colourful and beneficial display which is simple to grow. Seed mixed with buckwheat husks to aid sowing. Easy to plant with three steps: Scatter, Rake, Awake. Scatter: Shake box well, then carefully tear open the tab at the side. April to June, sow outdoors where they are to flower. Shake out the seed mix gently and evenly, directly onto finely prepared soil. Rake: Lightly rake over the seed bed to cover the seeds. Awake: Water well with a fine spray. Thin out if plants become overcrowded. Water well until plants are established. Flowers from June to October. For a continuous display make several sowings at two to three week intervals. Caution: Harmful if eaten. Contains 8 varieties with a coverage of 20m2.
