OKA OKA, Halie Decorative Jug
Description
Our Halie Jug's ribbed and mottled surface in rippling shades of green and blue looks like something plucked straight out of the ocean. Halie, meaning ‘dweller in the sea', was the name of a Greek Nereid (sea nymph) and daughter of the ‘Old Man of the Sea', Nereus. The porcelain is moulded to achieve its curving body and slender neck, while the glaze is fired at a high temperature to attain the luminescent shine. The characteristics that are accomplished through these techniques are what lend each piece individual charm.
