If our Bricini Vase was a person, they'd be forever complimented on their enviable smattering of delicate dots. In the decorative piece's case, these freckles are the result of firing the glaze at a very high temperature but, in the Irish folklore from which this vase takes its name, bricini ('little stars') were gifted by the gods so that no one would ever lose sight of the constellations.
