Our Sumi Baubles are named after their inky pattern - Sumi being the Japanese word for ‘ink'. The marbled effect is created once the glass ball is shaped; while still hot, a blend of raspberry-pink coloured sand and stone is infused into the glass and melts to form the painterly pattern. Due to the artisanal process, each piece will have individual characteristics.
