Primula ‘Vialii’ is a truly unique primula variety with its eye catching blooms. The kniphofia-like flowers are carmine, rose and purple coloured providing a stunning display that is sure to attract attention. Perfect for cottage or woodland gardens, this spectacular variety is also well suited to bein a cut flower. Grows well in sunny borders but best suited to a semi-shaded spot where its vibrant colours can really shine Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 70-75F (20-25C). Surface sow on a peat/sand mix seed compost and do not exclude light. Sowing Time: February to July. Seed germinates usually within 30 days. Keep seed compost moist, but not saturated. Lower the temperature after germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions before planting out 30cm (12in) apart. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil. Plant in full sun or part shade.
