About the Artist:
Born in London in 1963, Ben Hoskyns has been a professional artist since 1988. Wildlife art has been his main focus since the early days of his career, with keen observation and attention to detail being the most apparent hallmarks of his work.
Dividing his time between painting for exhibitions and producing commissioned works, Ben has made a name for himself as one of the UK's foremost wildlife artists, producing illustrations for a number of books including The Nature of Game, The Butterfly Book and three titles in the Artists' Impressions series - The Woodcock, The Grouse and Deer.
In 2006 Ben was commissioned to paint the Wildlife Habitat Trust's Conservation Stamp, and in 2001 he helped to found the Redspot group of wildlife artists who regularly exhibit together across the country.
