To speed up the rusting process an occasional spray of salty water over the first few days or so will help create the rust effect. Alternatively you could colour your statement heart with metal paint to create your own unique piece of artwork. If you strike the heart when it is suspended it makes a melodic sound just like a dinner gong. Using a wooden spoon to strike it makes a wonderful noise & is a great idea for summoning the kids to dinner! The heart also makes different tones depending on which part of the heart you strike. The heart is supplied with a 750mm length of waxed cotton cord so you can tie it to the length of your choice. We like to call them 'heart strings'. The heart strings are available in 12 colour choices - please indicate your choice from the drop down menu before adding this item to your basket. The heart measures 200mm x 131mm x 2mm We have a variety of hearts & they can be found in the 'Everything Else' section of my shop.
