Description
Grow your own fragrant pink roses with 'Lucky!', which flowers continuously from early summer through to late autumn each year. This upright, bushy floribunda rose produces clusters of semi-double, lightly scented, mauve-pink flowers with rippled edges. Its thorny stems are covered in glossy, dark green leaves. This is a compact plant that is perfect for planting in borders or patio containers in a sunny spot. Bare root roses will arrive trimmed back, ready for the new season, they will exhibit little signs of growth on arrival with possibly some buds in view. The bare roots should be planted as soon as possible in the ground as long as the soil is not frozen or waterlogged, if this is the case, do not allow the roots to dry out, place in a large container and cover with damp compost, or wrap the roots in damp cloth. Plant bare root roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
