Thompson & Morgan Abelia X Grandiflora Edward Goucher 3.6 Litre Potted Plant X 2
Description
A rounded and semi-evergreen shrub with a graceful arching habit that makes a lovely feature in sunny borders. A long flowering display sees these blooming from July through to October, with the lilac-pink tubular flowers blooming above bright green leaves. In Autumn you will see the green leaves change to a shade of bronze for more colour in the garden. Plant Abelia x grandiflora in garden borders in any fertile, well drained garden soil, in full sun. Alternatively grow Abelia plants in patio containers using soil based compost such as John Innes No.3. Feed and water container-grown plants regularly. Deadhead faded Abelia flowers to prolong the flowering season. In exposed areas or those where winters are severe, apply a deep bark mulch around the base of Glossy Abelia plants in autumn to protect the roots from winter cold. Take care not to mound mulch up against the main stem. Alternatively protect with horticultural fleece. In late spring, trim Abelia x grandiflora lightly and remove any shoots which spoil the symmetry of the plant. Product Specifications: Hardy Shrub Position: patio, cottage gardens and specimen plant Height: 150cm (59in) Spread: 200cm (79in) Abelia ‘Edward Goucher’ is supplied as 2 x 3.6 Litre Pots.
