Description
Coreopsis Grandiflora Presto makes a welcome addition to any garden with its dwarf habit and eye catching yellow blooms. A sun loving summer flowering perennial that will flower from June right through until September. Perfect for garden borders, patio pots and window boxes this variety will provide real impact all summer long. Sow February to March. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Lightly cover seed with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 20-25C (68-77F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 21-30 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 23-30cm (9-12in) apart, or transplant into containers.
