Description
Coronilla ‘Citrina’ lights up the garden non-stop from mid-winter right the way through to mid-spring with an abundance of sweetly-fragrant lemon-yellow flowers. The blooms are pea-like in looks with a wonderful daffodil fragrance, and they just seem to keep on coming. Not only does this low-maintenance shrub reward very little care with a very long flowering period and delightful spring scent, but it’s resilient and non-fussy too - thriving in dry, sunny or exposed conditions, it’s particularly useful for coastal or hillside gardens. The evergreen grey-blue foliage provides year-round colour and structure in the garden. Coronilla’s compact, neat and bushy habit makes it ideal for growing in small gardens, narrow spaces or even patio containers where it’ll put on a reliable performance year after year.Grow Coronilla in well-drained soil in full sun, for best results choose a sheltered spot and add plenty of grit to the planting hole to help with drainage. Also suitable for growing in containers and training against a wall. Water regularly until established, but once established, Coronilla will tolerate drought conditions. Requires very little maintenance, no additional feed is required. After flowering, in May lightly trim shoots. Coronilla will not tolerate hard pruning.Position: Full SunHeight: Up to 90cm when fully establishedSpread: Up to 90cm when fully establishedSupplied as 1 or 2 x Coronilla glauca ‘Citrina’ Plant in a 9cm pot, or 3 Litre pot.Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
