Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea Paniculata Sundae Fraise 3.6 Litre Potted Plant X 1
Description
Transform balconies and patios with the strawberry sundae coloured blooms of Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea ‘Sunday Fraise’. Perfectly proportioned, the bushy, short red-brown stems produce an abundance of green and white flowers that mature to pink from August onwards. With a more compact habit than its cousin ‘Vanille Fraise’, Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea ‘Sunday Fraise’ is perfect for growing in containers and smaller gardens. Earning a place on the RHS Plants for Pollinators list, ‘Sunday Fraise’ is perfect for attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects into your garden. As with all hydrangeas, flower colour will vary depending on soil type and climate. Choose a position in sun or semi shade when growing Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea ‘Sunday Fraise’ and plant in any non-alkaline, fertile, moist soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost to improve soil conditions. Water regularly until fully established. Leave the faded flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring in order to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering by reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space. If necessary, Hydrangea Paniculata will tolerate hard pruning of the oldest stems to a few buds from ground level. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant after pruning. Caution; irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Ideal For: Cut Flower Garden, Specimen Plant, Woodland Gardens Hardiness: Hardy Position In: Sun or Semi Shade Height: Up to 120cm Spread: Up to 120cm Ease of Growing: Easy for All Ease of Aftercare: Easy for All.
