Thompson & Morgan Iris Dutch Mixed Collection 200 Bulbs
Description
This stunning blend of Dutch Iris flowers is sure to bring a burst of color to your spring borders, beds, and containers. Iris ‘Dutch Mixed’ produces delicate blooms with petals in shades of lilac, purple, white, and yellow atop long, upright stems that make them a popular choice among florists for beautiful indoor vase shows. They make the most impressive impact when planted en masse, allowing their vibrant colors to be fully appreciated. Plant Dutch Iris bulbs in autumn, at a depth of approximately twice their own height and 10cm (4") apart. Choose a position in full sun on any free-draining soil. To create a natural effect, cast the bulbs across the area and plant them where they land. Alternatively, plant bulbs in deep containers of loam-based compost such as John Innes No. 2. When growing Dutch Iris, allow their foliage to die back naturally before removing it in order to feed the bulb for the following spring. If growing Iris in containers, feed with a high-potash fertilizer after flowering to encourage larger bulbs to form. Lift and separate overcrowded clumps of Dutch iris bulbs in autumn. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Product Specifications: Position In: Full sun. Height: Up to 50cm. Spread: Up to 15cm. Supplied as 100 x Iris ‘Dutch Mixed’ Bulbs.
