Grow your own crops of crisp Mangetout with high yielding, semi leafless variety 'Sugar Lace'. These easy to care for plants need no support when grown in a block, producing heavy crops of crunchy, stringless, 8cm (3in) long pods. Your plants will crop over a long period if picked regularly, which will encourage further flower development. Height: 75cm. Spread: 25cm.Direct sow Mangetout peas outdoors from March to June, once the soil as warmed. Choose a weed-free position on moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Sow Mangetout seed in flat bottomed drills at a distance of 5cm (2") apart, and 4cm (1 1/2") deep. Allow a distance of 75cm (30") between rows.
