The elegant blooms have a sweet perfume that intensifies in the evening, making t-obacco plant a perfect choice for planting in pots or beds around patios and seating areas, where the heady scent can be fully enjoyed. Flowers are held in clusters on tall, robust stems from June until the first frosts. The blooms make a great cut flower, with picking prolonging the flowering season. This South American beauty is incredibly low maintenance and provides a valuable source of nectar for butterflies and night-flying moths. A must-have for any cottage garden! Pot up plants and grow them on until large enough to plant outdoors. When they are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before transplanting into their final positions. Transplant nicotiana plants into any fertile, moist, well-drained soil, in sun or semi shade. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size.
