Nigella damascena 'Moody Blues' produces a delightful mix of ‘Love-in-a-mist’ flowers. A stunning mix of blue-shades which make for a beautiful display in borders and beds in cottage or wildlife gardens. The double blooms are followed by intriguing seedpods and make a great cut or dried flower, they can even be used in cakes and breads, adding a spicy taste. Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 6mm ( 1/4in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart.For Spring/Summer Flowering Pot Plants: Sow in a cool greenhouse or conservatory in late summer/early autumn. Grow on in cool conditions in full light and water sparingly. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart.
