Description
Gudoshnik Double' are pretty peony-flowered Tulips that put on a show-stopping display of scented, colour-changing blooms in spring. Showy, double flowers open in rich shades of orange red, gradually fading through to warm tones of coral and peachy-yellow as they age. A real beauty for patio pots where they can be truly admired - you may want to grow a few extra for a breath-taking spring bouquet. 'Gudoshnik Double' produces big blooms, so will benefit from a sheltered spot in the garden. Culinary note: some parts of these flowers are edible. However, some people have had strong allergic reactions to Tulip flowers. If touching them causes a rash, numbness etc. then Tulip flowers should not be eaten. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 15cm (6"). Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well-drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6") and at a distance of 13cm (5") apart.
