Wilko Voila Network Improved Seeds
Description
The Viola Network is highly unusual with bright flowers and is highlighted by beautiful, contrasting patterns. Our Viola Network Improved seeds are perfect for adding exotic colours to your bedding displays and mixed containers. This hardy perennial is most often grown for reliable early or late-season colour. Indoor sowing: Sow thinly in trays of seed compost, cover with a fine layer of compost, firm gently and keep moist. Cover the tray with glass, polythene or a propagator lid and keep at approx. 15-18 degrees C (60-65 degrees F). Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Growing on, remove the cover when seedlings appear. When large enough, transplant 5cm (2in) apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions, then transplant 15cm (6in) apart in flowering position from May onwards. Outdoor sowing: Sow thinly in a prepared seed bed in rows 20cm (8in) apart. Cover with 1.5cm (half an inch) of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. When large enough, thin to 10cm (4in) apart. Transplant 15cm (6in) apart in flowering position from September. TIP: Remove dead flower heads to prolong flowering.
