A charming vintage alternative to the eco-nightmare of plastic carrier bags, this traditional market basket is in woven willow or rattan & dates to the 1950's or 60's. It has a delightfully off centre yet completely sturdy handle, decorated & strengthened with a dark green vinyl detail which is repeated at each end. There is very minor damage to a few strands of the weave at one end (please see 4th photo), but it is absolutely fit for purpose with many years of happy market trawling left in it! l: 36.5cm (14 1/4) w: 24.5cm (9 1/2) h: 32 (12 1/2) inc handle d: 17.5cm (7) Large enough for a weekly market shop, ideal for foraging or gathering flowers or a great rustic accent piece for storing fruit & veg in your country kitchen!
