1930s French Picnic Basket, Market Basket, Fishing, Dowel Closure, Top Carry Handle, French Farmhouse ja 3232325 Sweet French square picnic basket with a good top handle & dowel closure. Absolutely amazing patina from many years of use & enjoyment. Top carry handle, metal loops to fasten wood dowel at the top. Great for use or as a lovely addition to your basket collection & decor. Purchased in the South of France. The dowel is not original & has been replaced with a thin piece of brance. Measuring 15.5 length (top), 10 height (top of handle), 9.25 height (top of basket), 9.5 depth. Good condition & still quite strong with a small amount of worm damage & a tiny area o damage in the base. Some broken willows & mostly at the the area of the metal closure as shown. Expect imperfections, it has been used & enjoyed & passed down through many. generations. Thanks for viewing. Sorry, no returns.
