Throughout the summer months, Hypericum calycinum ‘Carnival’ is adorned with large, bright, golden-yellow blooms that make a sunny display. St. John's Wort is an attractive, low growing, evergreen shrub with a spreading habit that makes this a great choice for groundcover in a shaded or semi-shaded area of the garden. The stems and young emerging leaves are pink-tinted pink before the foliage matures to dark green with a butter-yellow edging. Tough and reliable, ‘Carnival’ is ideal for borders and woodland areas and can be trimmed into an attractive low hedge.
