Description
Muscari Blue and White is two classic spring flowers in one collection. The elegant, pointed blooms of the tulip white saporro create a colour contrast against the Muscari armeniacum know as the Grape Hyacinth. Plant this collection en masse for a sea of colour in beds, borders and containers or on the edges of woodland gardens where the colours will stand out and look beautiful. Height: up to 45cm (18”). Spread: up to 20cm (8”). Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. However,some people have had strong allergic reactions to Tulip flowers. If touching them causes a rash, numbness etc. then Tulip flowers should not be eaten. Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well-drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6") and at a distance of 13cm (5") apart.
