Description
Bringing a touch of luxury to the garden, these velvety burgundy blooms will open wide when in full sun. Ideal for hot, sunny borders or basking in containers on a patio. Pot up osteospermum daisies and grow them on in frost free conditions until plants are well grown. When plants are well developed and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors into borders and patio containers. Grow osteospermum plants in any well drained soil in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. African Daisies dislike cold wet soils. Improve heavy soil prior to planting by adding plenty of coarse grit. Feed and water osteospermum plants regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded osteospermum flowers throughout the flowering period to encourage more blooms to be produced.
