Robinia Pseud Frisia 12 Litre Potted Plant x 2
Description
The pinnate foliage of Thompson & Morgan Robinia False Acacia emerges citrus yellow, and darkens to chartreuse-green before autumn turns it buttery-gold. White, pea-like flowers appear among the leaves in spring, attracting pollinating insects before being replaced by prominent brown seedpods. Thompson & Morgan Robinia Frisia is a medium-sized deciduous tree with an airy, upright habit, that is tolerant of moist soils provided it has shelter from strong winds. Choose a position in full sun when growing Thompson & Morgan False Acacia and plant in any well-drained garden soil. Improve heavy clay or light sandy soils by adding in plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. Feed and water Thompson & Morgan Robinia regularly until fully established. Robinia requires little pruning except for the removal of damaged branches or stems that spoil the shape of the plant. Prune in late summer or early autumn to prevent bleeding, and remove any suckering shoots that appear at the base of the plant in order to maintain a clear stem.
