This is a biennial, and will look especially attractive in cottage garden borders, beds and containers. And if you dead-head the flowers regularly, you will end up with significantly more flower heads. Sweet Williams like to be planted in pots and grown to a strong size before being planted outside. Make sure that the plants are acclimatised over 7-10 days before being planted outside, in a nice sunny position.
