Thompson & Morgan Clematis Armandii 2 Litre Potted Plant X 2
Description
Grow the fastest clematis in the west! Clematis armandii is a climber with first-class qualities. Glistening white blooms emit one of the first fragrances of spring each year, borne on rapidly growing plants that thrive in sun or shade. This trouble-free evergreen climber will brighten your garden with its beautiful blooms from March to May. Pruning group: 1. Height: 5m (15'). Spread: 3m (10').Pot up clematis plants and grow them on until large enough to plant in their final positions. When planting clematis, choose a position in sun or semi-shade and plant the climber deeply in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Position the top of the root ball at a depth of 7.5cm (3") below soil level, to encourage new shoots to form from the base of the plant. Clematis dislike soils that are particularly wet or dry. Such soils can be improved by the addition of plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. When growing clematis in patio containers use a soil-based compost such as John Innes No.3. Train Clematis armandii plants onto a suitable support such as trellis, wires or a large pergola.Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size.
