Thompson & Morgan Exochorda x Macrantha ‘The Bride’ simply exudes elegance. Racemes of pristine white flowers cover the light green foliage in a breath taking display from late spring to early summer. As autumn approaches, the leaves turn to gentle shades of orange and gold. This superb variety has an attractive rounded habit, with arching branches that create a most elegant outline. This hardy, deciduous Thompson & Morgan Exochorda has been awarded an RHS AGM and makes a showy specimen plant for borders or woodland edges. Choose an area in sun or dappled shade with growing Thompson & Morgan Exochorda ‘The Bride’, and plant in any moist, well-drained, fertile soil. Exochorda tolerate most soils except for shallow, chalky conditions. After flowering, cut back the flowered shoots to strong buds lower down the stems. Large, mature Exochorda plants will also benefit from a fifth of the oldest stems being cut back to the base of the plant each year.
