Description
A brilliant plant to round off the end of the spring season. The bold red petals with slightly lighter tips sitting on top of long, sturdy stems make a massive impact in the garden and look just as great as cut flowers in a vase. Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well-drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring.
