Thompson & Morgan Weigela ‘Bristol Ruby’ is a deciduous shrub, forming clusters of bell-shaped, deep-red flowers that open from plum-coloured buds in late spring right through to early summer, with dark green leaves providing a dramatic backdrop to the blooms. Fast growing, upright and easy to grow, Thompson & Morgan Weigela ‘Bristol Ruby’ is ideal for smaller gardens and mixed shrub borders. Choose a position in sun or semi-shaded when growing Thompson & Morgan Weigela ‘Bristol Ruby’ and plant at the same depth as their pot in any well-drained soil. Incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost prior to planting, backfill the hole and water well to settle the soil. Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant in spring.
