Description
‘Green carpet’ is truly a one-of-a-kind variety that will brighten up any garden, due to its glowy lime-green foliage, that is very strong and resilient to all conditions. During the Spring you can expect subtle yellow dainty blooms to appear, that will attract the pollinating insects - making this variety perfect for wildlife areas. You can also expect gorgeous plump red berries to follow after, where the birds love to feed from! Plant Berberis in full sun or partial shade, on a reliably moist, well-drained soil. Barberry plants are extremely resilient and will grow on many different soil types, except waterlogged. To keep hedges in good shape, trim back lightly after flowering each year.
