Description
Virtually maintenance free once established, Pennisetum viridescens is a fabulous Fountain Grass which will add movement and texture to cottage garden, patio container or prairie planting schemes. This arching, evergreen grass will add a certain elegance to any garden, as its leaves gracefully bend backwards, allowing tall stems of flower heads to push upwards. Each stem bears a long, feathery plume flushed with black, which will catch the wind. Pennisetum viridescens is very easy to grow, requiring very little maintenance and can be used either as a specimen plant or as part of a grasses collection. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 100cm (39").
