Unlike many climbing Lonicera, 'Gold Flame' doesn’t have naturally twining stems, so will require tying in to supporting wires. Although labelled deciduous, this woody climber remains semi-evergreen in sheltered gardens and during particularly mild winters, retaining its rounded green foliage year-round.
